Magan McGann- Director

  Mary Lou Jenkins - PSII Lead Teacher/ Assistant Director

Alicia Roberts - PSI Lead Teacher

Ms. Magan, joined our staff in August of 2019. Magan has been working with children many years from home care, to after school care to working as a personal care aide for special needs children. She graduated from Appomattox County and Miller Motte Technical College with a certificate in Massage Therapy. In her spare time, she loves camping, going the lake or beach and  spending time with her family and and being a dog mom to her two dogs, River and Lucky.

Ms. Mary Lou joined our staff as an assistant teacher in August of 2019 and is now our Assistant Director.  She has worked as an early childcare provider for military families in Tennessee, Kentucky and overseas. She enjoys volunteering with the local police department to provide community outreach programs for kids, She studied photography with the New York Institute of Photography. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and kids, baking, photography and making jewelry. 

Ms. Alicia joined us at the beginning of January 2022 as our new PSI Lead Teacher.  She attended Danville Community College where she studied Early Childhood Education and Business Management . As a wife and mom she enjoys spending time with her family and visiting her brother in Florida. She is a member of North Fork Baptist Church where she enjoys singing in the choir and teaching VBS. In her free time she enjoys reading, shopping and crafting.

Sherry Ferguson- Pre-K Lead Teacher

Ms. Yvonne, who is from Clarksville, joined our staff in the fall of 2016 from the YMCA's Before and After School program. She holds an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Specialties from Piedmont Tech and has 30+ years experience working w/ children! In her free time, she enjoys her volunteer work with veterans,  traveling and Facebook! She loves children and working at the center.

Ms. Amy joined our staff as an Assistant Teacher in 2019. Ms. Amy is now one of our Pre-K Lead Teachers She moved here from New Jersey ten years ago. She recently graduated from SVCC with an Associate degree in General Education and is currently continuing to study education at Longwood University as she wants to teach kindergarten. In her free time, she likes to go the beach or hang out with family and friends. She loves animals and crafts. 

Ms. Sherry previously served as our PSI teacher. She is now one of the Pre-K Lead Teachers! She comes to us from Appomattox with a B.S. degree in Psychology and Christian Counseling from Liberty University and multiple years experience in children's ministry. outside of Preschool, she is the co-founder of Journey Ministries, the chairperson of Crowned events and loves spending time with family and friends.

Heather Swingle- Assistant Teacher

  Linda Sammons - Substitute Teacher

Ms. Heather has spent her early years involved in home child care and assisting or leading a multitude of children’s church activities. She joined us in August 2022. She graduated high school in 2013 with a diploma from Lighthouse Christian Academy. As a mother and wife she enjoys time at home with her family, camping, reading about a far away place, fishing, hiking, photography and being creative

Ms. Linda previously served as the Lead Teacher with the two-year-old class but has decided to retire from full-time teaching. We're thrilled that she will be a substitute teacher for us! Originally from New York, she has 30+ years experience as a Kindergarten and Preschool teacher. She enjoys traveling in her spare time.
